I recently used Jump Start Events for a party and couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the initial inquiry to pickup, Jaclyn was incredibly attentive to every detail and genuinely cared about making our event successful. What impressed me most from there on out was the companies responsiveness - they answered all my questions quickly and kept me informed throughout the entire process. No detail was too small, and they made sure everything was perfectly coordinated for our event date. The bounce house itself was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as described. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their equipment and service. The delivery and setup crew was professional, friendly, and efficient. Jump Start Events clearly operates with integrity and puts customer satisfaction first. They made what could have been a stressful part of party planning completely seamless. I’ll definitely be using them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality bounce house rentals. I’m very disappointed with both the product and service I received. I rented the castle waterslide for the entire weekend, with plans to use it during an event on Saturday. By Saturday morning, the top of the inflatable had completely deflated (see attached photo), which made the slide unusable for the kids. It even had duct tape in multiple places when it arrived — clearly not in the best condition. We tried to stand it back up, but it wouldn’t stay. Since I was busy hosting over 20 people, I told my family to unplug it, take a photo, and keep the kids off it for safety. I emailed Jaclyn later that evening and followed up with a phone call Monday morning. That’s when I was told that because I didn’t call on Saturday — even though I had no idea they were open on weekends and was in the middle of a big event — they could only refund me $53.90 out of the nearly $600 I paid. Seriously? Jaclyn also mentioned that rain sometimes causes this inflatable to deflate and “just needs to be stood back up.” That was frustrating to hear because it means they knew this was a known issue, yet gave no instructions on what to do if it happened. I was never informed of their weekend hours or given any emergency contact instructions. During the call, she pointed out that the kids had water balloons and balls in the inflatable — yes, they did use it for a few hours on Friday before it failed, and cleanup took her team an extra 15 minutes (for which I apologized). But that doesn’t change the fact that the slide was unusable for two of the three days I rented it. Instead of owning the issue, they seemed to look for every excuse not to issue a fair refund. Poor quality product, poor customer service, and poor communication. I expected better — especially for the price. I won’t be renting from them again, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone planning a special event.

We decided last minute to rent a slide for the weekend. I was told one price on the phone and when I was actually charged it was much more than I was told. The day before I was looking online and it showed a $50 holiday fee. When I got the receipt, they had charged me $100 for the holiday fee and said it was because it was a last minute rental. A rental that otherwise wouldn’t have been rented out at all? So that didn’t make sense to me and wasn’t a charge I was expecting. When we got the slide, they only brought one blower for it so it didn’t fully inflate the whole way. As a result two people got injured when they went down the slide and flew over the top of the lip of the slide. We called and they finally delivered a second blower, but it was unusable the rest of that day as no one else wanted to get injured. The slide had black mold all over the top of the slide, it was tattered up, and had several holes in the slide which is probably why it couldn’t inflate with just one blower. I’ve asked to speak with the manager and haven’t gotten a response but the price we paid was way too much for what we got.

This was a miserable experience. If no stars were possible, I would select that. We rented two obstacle courses. Neither was in good working condition. One arrived with a HUGE hole in it that we had to quickly repair with athletic tape. The other was completely useless. It was soaked. We got a wet vac, a mop and towels to clean it up, but then it wouldn’t stay inflated. The real problem was the attitude of the staff. When we finally got in touch with the person who delivered them and asked for help, he was so put out that he had to sign in and go through a metal detector to enter the building. It took two minutes. When he saw the hole, there was no apology. He blew it off. When he saw the course that was wet, he said we just needed to blow it up and it would, “Dry out in like 10 minutes.” As I mentioned above, it did not dry out quickly or easily and when I called back to ask for help, the person who answered the phone was dismissive and rude. She interrupted me several times as I tried to explain that there was over an inch and half of water puddling on the course. I knew this because I could see the air from inside bubbling up. Obviously it wasn’t staying inflated because the seams were wet; however, she refused to help. The manager has yet to return our calls. Don’t rent from them. It was a huge disappointment to our students.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I had such an outstanding experiencing with Alex, that I had to shout him out! If you’re hosting an event, use Jump Start Events! Alex installed an inflatable water slide, life size beer bong, and a glow in the dark beer pong table for my 4th of July weekend party and I had the best time! Will be using again this year
